Help us make our 2nd album
Love Your Neighbor
A Growing Musical Movement
Today, CUBUSA is a dynamic collective of 65 musicians from Cuba and the United States, collaborating across borders to create a powerful new sound—an energetic fusion of Cuban and American music rooted in African rhythms. From Havana, Cuba to Bozeman, Montana, songs are written, recorded, and shared between cultures, blending traditions into something entirely new.
And people are listening.
The Next Chapter
Love Your Neighbor
In December of 2025, Doug returned to Havana and reunited with core Cuban collaborators—alongside several new musicians—to begin work on the next phase of CUBUSA’s journey.
Over two intensive weeks in the studio, they recorded the foundations of new songs—often working through the challenges of daily power outages that continue to impact life across Cuba. Despite these obstacles, the sessions captured something raw, resilient, and deeply collaborative.
Doug returned to Montana with the beginnings of five new songs that our Montana musicians and production team are now working with writing lyrics, and recording instrumental and vocal tracks. Building on the three songs released in 2024, we are on our way to adding five songs with the goal of completing our eight-song album, titled: Love Your Neighbor
Support
This album represents more than music—it is a continuation of the bridge building that began 15 years ago, carried forward by creativity, perseverance, and a shared belief in something bigger than ourselves. Help us show some love and support for our Cuban neighbors.
